Sanitation

Having provided large volumes of water to several communities and villages, the Foundation believes that education is a very essential aspect for the future sustainability of any successful project such as these and has embarked on training and awareness workshops on water management, waste water and household rubbish disposal, sanitation and best practice methods.

The objectives of these workshops are:

  1. To share knowledge of water resources and its importance to the villages;
  2. To create a sense of ownership to the villagers of their task to safeguard their water with good management practices;
  3. To highlight the status of household rubbish and waste water disposal prevalent in the community and its impact on their livelihoods and the environment;
  4. To facilitate the process of creating a community Management Action Plan for water at the villages;
  5. To share information in resource conservation and management practices conducted at local sites;
  6. o create interest amongst the villagers on their role as stewards of the resources by sharing successful stories from other communities.
