Rotary Pacific Water for Life Foundation (RPW) is a limited liability charitable company that has been working in Fiji since 2007. Our niche role in providing water and sanitation solutions for rural communities has delivered positive impacts to more than 265 villages, settlements and schools all over Fiji. RPW has the following vacancies for potential candidates to join our dynamic team and improve water and sanitation access of rural communities in Fiji.

  1. Construction Manager

The Construction Managers role is to manage the day-to-day construction of the projects, plan develop and execute construction effort to formulate most cost-effective plan to ensure timely completion within budget, responsible for implementation of the scope of work as related to construction, monitor and report on project in a timely manner, ensure all changes to work scope and drawings are documented, review man-hours and duration forecasts for project completion and perform any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the management.

The potential candidate will have a Degree in Civil/Water Engineering, 5-8 years relevant experience in construction and plumbing works and ability to travel as and when required in rural communities. Experience in water engineering will be added advantage. Group 2 driving licence.

  1. Project Officers (2 positions)

The Project Officers role is to manage water and sanitation construction sites, engage with the community to ensure continued commitment to the projects, inspection and quality control on-site, implementation of OHS policies on-site, on-site training and supervision of the construction team, drafting of fortnightly progress reports, preparing bills of materials and liaise with suppliers for procurement as needed.

The potential candidate will have a Diploma in Civil Engineering, at least five years working experience and demonstrable practical carpentry or plumbing knowledge/skills. Experience with water and sanitation systems will be an advantage. Willingness to travel in rural communities around Fiji. A Group 2 (manual) driving license is compulsory.

  1. WASH Officer (Assistant)

The WASH Officer Assistants role is to conduct WASH profiling, KAP surveying, water sanitation and hygiene promotion in rural Fiji, delivery of WASH training in schools and communities, advising construction team in WASH related matters, engage with the community to ensure continued commitment, data analysis and reporting, liaising between local government and communities on health related issues and participating in WASH meetings and other relevant coordination meetings.

The potential candidate will have a Diploma in Public/Environmental health, excellent communication skills and ability to engage with and mobilize communities, at least five years working experience, proven ability to deliver WASH trainings in communities, willingness to travel in rural communities around Fiji and Group 2 driving licence.

  1. Assistant Finance and Administration Officer

The Assistant Finance and Administration Officers role is to preparation of receipts and payment vouchers, Preparation of advances and verification of acquittals, Petty cash management, support to preparing of financial reports and monthly reconciliations, maintaining accounts payable and receivable, support to payroll and monthly payroll reconciliation, payment of suppliers bills and banking, support to audit preparations, recording of transactions, office insurance renewals, maintaining and updating personnel files including staff leave/absence and disciplinary records, procurement of office supplies, filing and maintaining office administration, attending to fleet payments, updating asset register and  any other administration duties required by Executive Officer.

The potential candidate will have Diploma in Accounting, working knowledge of Payroll software and payroll accounting, understanding of PAYE/FNPF requirements, excellent organization skills and punctuality, excellent knowledge of Excel and Word, good understanding of accounting principle, basic knowledge of MYOB, two to three years working experience in a similar role. Experience with grant management and civil society will be added advantage.
