The FIJI Water Foundation has again extended funding to Rotary Pacific Water for Life Foundation (RPWLF)
enabling a further 500 Fijians access to safe drinking water.
Natural Waters of Viti (FIJI Water) CEO Rokoseru Nabalarua handed over $50,000 to RPWLF board
members at RPWLF’s annual general meeting.
With most part of the country experiencing drought-like weather conditions, Mr Nabalarua acknowledged the
need for access to water in communities that do not have reliable sources of water.
“RPWFL could not bring clean drinking water to rural communities without the support of donors like the FIJI
Water Foundation,” he said in a statement yesterday.
RPWFL was founded to help communities of Fiji gain access to safe drinking water. Together with donors like
the FIJI Water Foundation, RPWFL has achieved this goal for thousands of people throughout Fiji.
After implementing more than 270 water and sanitation projects since its inception in 2007, RPWFL has
established a better understanding of water related problems faced by various communities in Fiji.
FIJI Water has a long-standing commitment to ensuring that communities throughout Fiji have access to
clean, safe drinking water and has partnered with RPWFL since 2007.
RPWFL board member Rakesh Gokal acknowledged the contribution from the FIJI Water Foundation.
