The Ford Motor Foundation & the GlobalGiving International Grant Programme through its local distributors Shreedhar Motors provided a grant of USD15,000 to Rotary Pacific Water today.
The grant will enable RPW to provide access to clean drinking water and improved sanitation to about 200 residents in the rural communities of Waisa and Vatunilose in the Naitasiri province.
The cheque was presented by the CEO of Shreedhar Motors Mr. Arvin Narayan and the National Sales and Marketing Manager Mr. Jagdish Chand to the Chair of the RPW Board Mr John Lewis, RPW Technical Advisor Mr. Pascal Vlieghe and RPW Organisational Development Specialist Mr. Prem Sinha.
The event was attended by about 70 stakeholders and representatives of the media.
Mr. Lewis thanked the Ford Motor Foundation & the GlobalGiving International Grant Programme for the grant and acknowledged the support of other RPW donors namely, Platinum Sponsors VaiWai®, Gold Sponsors Fiji Water, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade New Zealand, Embassy of Japan, Rotary New Zealand World Community Services and Rotary International.
